On May 6, Anheuser-Busch will introduce a new innovative Budweiser can design that resembles the iconic Budweiser bowtie-shaped logo. The proprietary can, in development since 2010, will be available only in the United States and in an eight-pack and will not replace the traditional Budweiser can.
“This can is incomparable, like nothing you’ve ever seen before,” said Pat McGauley, vice president of innovation for Anheuser-Busch. “The world’s most iconic beer brand deserves the world’s most unique and innovative can. I think we have it here.”
The production of the new can requires 16 steps – 10 to form the bottom half and the remaining steps to form the top half.
